Itinerary
Day 1 :11-4pm throwing practice
11am meet, discuss course, cup of tea and throwing demo.
Get you on the wheel looking at throwing cylinders and cutting your work in half, to look at wall thickness.
Discuss centring and getting the walls to go up, not out.
Lunch will be at 1:30pm with more throwing in the afternoon and a tea break.
Day one is mostly about practice and getting some time on the wheel.
Day 2: 11-4pm throwing
Throwing with more clay, more intricate forms, bigger pieces of clay. Anything from mugs and jugs and for more advanced students we can look at lids and bigger bowls.
Day 3:11-4pm turning
Turning and refining work, handles and knobs. Adding surface decoration and adapting and changing forms off of the wheel.
Half day 11-1pm
glazing will be around 1.5-2 weeks after first lesson. We will find a date that suits all on the date of the first session. It will only take 3 hours.
This class is a new and exciting opportunity with two tutors: Ellie Loveday Ceramics and Zoe Blair ( Ko ceramics)
Suitable for both beginners and more advanced students.
All materials provided

Aprons will be provided but please come in casual clothing ready and shorter nails helps for working with clay.
Drinks will be provided and some cake. Please bring your own lunch.
